DES MOINES—Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds will have an opportunity to significantly shape the future of the gaming industry in Iowa with two appointments this year to the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission. Longtime commissioners Jeff Lamberti of Ankeny and Carl Heinrich of Council Bluffs both informed Gov. Reynolds that they will not seek reappointment to the casino regulatory board. The terms of Heinrich and Lamberti—both Republicans—expire on April 30.
